9/22/2013 – United World College Presentation

A young Howard County student and attender of our meeting will give a presentation after simple meal at noon on the United World College, which delivers “a challenging and transformative educational experience to a diverse cross section of students, inspiring them to create a more peaceful and sustainable future” (reflecting values very consistent with Quaker values).  Click here for a brief introduction.  This is part of UWC Day – an annual celebration of UWC’s values worldwide.  Also, check out this article from the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/15/magazine/the-boy-genius-of-ulan-bator.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
